Bodrum Airport also known as Milas – Bodrum airport, is located at a longitude co-ordinate of 27° 40' 59'' E and a latitude co-ordinate of 37° 15' 0'' N. The airport has been operating since 1997 and currently has international and domestic terminals. Classed as a civil airport, the airport code used is BJV.

Transportation To and From the Airport

There is an official bus service called Havas that runs its schedule according to the arrival and departure times of domestic flights only. From the airport, the shuttle service will drop people off at various points before ending the journey at the bus station in Bodrum and vice versa. For international arrivals, there is also a taxi rank located directly outside the terminal and they have set prices to all locations on the Bodrum Peninsula so please check this before you get into the taxi, as it is one of the most expensive forms of transport 
 
There is no train or metro service operating near the airport. The cheapest method of transport is to pre-book a shuttle or private transfer. Organize your transport with various companies, which you will find, listed on our travel services page. 
 
For independent travellers, there is one car hire company located in the arrival section of the international terminal and three car hire companies located in the arrivals section of the domestic terminal.

Alternative Airports to Use

International arrivals only operate at Bodrum airport during the summer season. In the event that you are traveling out of this time, you can search for flights at Izmir airport, which operates, fully with international flights during the winter. Transfers times are approximately 3 hours to the centre of Bodrum.  
 
There is also the option to use Dalaman airport that is located 235km away and this is approximately a three and a half hour transfer.
