One of the most wonderful perks on the Peninsula is that there is a fresh farmers market every day of the week, somewhere close by. Each is a treasure on its own and shopping at these will offer an authentic Turkish experience like no other. Ask to sample some of the cheeses and olives--especially the high quality goat cheeses (pronounced as kechi peneer).

Take home exotic spices or handcrafted crocheted jewelry--even copper camel bells pack nicely in your suitcase and will later offer a great story to tell.
