There is excellent sunshine if you travel during the summer months but during the other seasons, you will need to be prepared with the right clothing and footwear. December to March – The coldest months and the times when there is the greatest amount of rainfall compared to the rest of the year. They are not ideal conditions for exploring or swimming and night times can be extremely cold. We advise that you do not visit in these months if you are a sun and sea lover, but if you intend to, essential items to pack are an umbrella and many warm jumpers.
April to June – If exploring and trekking is your passion; these are great months to discover the Bodrum peninsula because temperatures are moderate. If you are a beach lover, the water may be cold for swimming in April but the sun is bright enough to return home with a golden tan.
July to September – This period is when the temperature steps up a notch and becomes the hottest months of the year. Sun cream is essential to prevent sunburn and night times are hot so you will need air conditioning in your hotel. The lower levels of humidity and light gentle breeze that flows around Bodrum peninsula during summer months is a welcome relief. Clothes that you pack should be light and suitable for very hot temperatures.
October to November – Temperatures drop at this time of year and they make for ideal conditions especially if you plan to explore and walk around the towns and villages of the Peninsula. Do pack a jacket and warm sweaters for the nighttime though as the temperature will drastically drop.
