This full-day tour from Bodrum combines history, nature, and wellness with a visit to Dalyan's mud baths, the ancient rock tombs of Caunos, and Iztuzu Beach turtle sanctuary.
Your tour begins with a hotel pickup in Bodrum in the morning, followed by a scenic bus journey with a breakfast stop at your own expense. Upon arrival in Dalyan, board a boat to the mud baths and thermal spa. Enjoy a revitalizing mud bath rich in sulfur and minerals known for skin benefits, then relax before lunch at a riverside restaurant featuring local cuisine.
After lunch, explore the 9th-century BC ancient city of Caunos. Visit the rock-cut tombs of former kings and learn about local pagan grieving rituals and the history of grave robbing. From Caunos, take a boat to Iztuzu Beach, also called Turtle Beach. Walk along its 4-mile sandy shore and visit the turtle rehabilitation station to learn about loggerhead sea turtle nesting (turtle sightings depend on the season).
Spend approximately 1.5 hours at Iztuzu Beach before returning by boat to Dalyan and then by bus to Bodrum. A short refreshment break on the return journey is included at your own cost.
