The history of weaving in Turkey goes back 2000 years and Turkish carpets and kilims are appreciated across the world for their quality and beauty. Each individual rug design takes months to complete and reflects a blend of beliefs, symbols and messages to reveal a desire or wish.
Since the 19th century, Turkish kilims and carpets have been used to decorate homes and offices across the world.
Etrim Village is a nomadic village situated 24km from Bodrum and guests are welcome to visit to experience local village life in Turkey. Etrim Village also offers weaving courses.
